Our Commitment

Tampa Duct Cleaners, operated by Hale's Air Conditioning Service, Inc., is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continuously work to improve the experience for every user.

Measures We Have Taken

To support accessibility, Tampa Duct Cleaners has implemented the following:

  • Semantic HTML: Pages are built with meaningful HTML elements (headings, landmarks, lists, buttons, links) so assistive technologies can accurately describe page structure and navigate efficiently.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — navigation menus, forms, buttons, and links — are fully operable with a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible and clearly distinguish the focused element.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive UI components meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Reduced-motion support: Animations and transitions on this site respect the operating system’s “Reduce Motion” preference (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce). When this preference is active, decorative animations are disabled or minimized.
  • ARIA attributes: Where native HTML semantics are insufficient, we use ARIA roles, labels, and live regions to convey state and purpose to assistive technologies.
  • Image alternatives: Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked with an empty alt attribute or aria-hidden so screen readers skip them.
  • Form accessibility: All form fields have associated labels, required fields are clearly indicated, and error messages are descriptive and programmatically associated with their respective fields.
  • Readable type scale: We use fluid, scalable typography that respects browser font-size preferences and remains legible when zoomed to 200%.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some content or third-party integrations (such as embedded maps or certain review widgets) may have accessibility gaps that are outside our direct control. We are actively working to identify and address these limitations.

If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing any part of our site, please let us know — your feedback directly informs our improvement priorities.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time project. As we add new content and features, we evaluate them against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria before publishing. We review this statement annually and update it whenever significant changes are made to the site.
